An Asian-twist on classic sauteed green beans, this delicious side dish is simple to prepare and will be a hit with everyone, including the kids!

I was at The Slanted Door in San Francisco the first time I had green beans that I couldn’t stop thinking about. Sauteed green beans had never been very exciting, but these were truly special! They were garlicky (in a good way) and coated in a caramelized sauce that was both sweet and salty. I still can’t quite replicate the ‘blistered’ texture of this famous dish at home, but I’ve settled for a version that doesn’t require industrial pans and dangerously high heat. It’s become our go-to veggie side dish…and one that I’ve even made for Thanksgiving!
